R. Kelly sex abuse trial in Cook County, Illinois set for September

IStock/fhogue A tentative trial date of September 14 was set Wednesday for R. Kelly’s sex abuse trial in Cook County, Illinois.

The “I Believe I Can Fly” singer was charged in February with four separate indictments accusing him of sexual misconduct. Three of the four alleged victims were underage at the time.

Judge Lawrence Flood made the trial announcement and referred to several separate charges Kelly faces in other areas across the country.
