Kanye West's 'Jesus Is King' ties Eminem for most consecutive number-one albums

GOOD Music/Def Jam Recordings Kanye West’s gospel album Jesus Is King debuts at the top of the Billboard 200 this week, tying him with Eminem for the most consecutive number-one albums in chart history.

The long-awaited project, which endured several delays following the originally announced September 27 release date, earned 264,000 album units from sales and streaming. It contains 11 tracks, featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Ant Clemmons, Fred Hammond, Clipse, Kenny G and the Sunday Service Choir.

Jesus Is King replaces Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding, which drops to number two on the Billboard 200 all-genre album chart.

Jesus Is King is Kanye’s ninth consecutive number-one album, which ties him with Eminem, as noted earlier. It also gives him the sixth-most #1 albums
