John Shearer/Getty Images via ABCNicki Minaj shocked her fans when she announced in September that she was retiring from music. While the Head Barb eventually backtracked from that statement, she admits she wasn’t prepared for her followers’ reaction to her initial tweet.
“I didn’t know my fans were gonna act like that with the tweet and it hurt my feelings because I felt like the way I did it maybe was like insensitive to my fans,” the “Anaconda” rapper tells The Shade Room. “I didn’t know it was gonna be that big of a deal so that’s why I deleted it.”
