Report: Suge Knight sells rights to his life story to Ray J

iStock/Michail_Petrov-96As he serves a 28-year prison sentence for voluntary manslaughter, Suge Knight has reportedly sold the rights to his life story to Ray J.

The Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star is developing a documentary about the Death Row Records co-founder, according to TMZ. The site also reports that Ray J is planning a separate project about the life of Tupac Shakur, and is considering reviving the Death Row label. The company filed for bankruptcy in 2006.

Dr. Dre and THE D.O.C. founded the label in 1992 with Knight; the artist roster included Tupac and Snoop Dogg.

Last year, Suge pleaded no contest to charges of voluntary manslaughter in a fatal hit and run. On
