ABC/Ida Mae AstuteBET has pushed back the release dates for two of Tyler Perry‘s upcoming drama series.
According to Variety, the network has set an October 23 premiere date for Perry’s White House drama The Oval and the female-centric drama Sistas. Both series, which are part of Perry’s multi-year content deal with Viacom, were originally scheduled to premiere on October 9.
As previously reported, The Oval revolves around a “picture-perfect First Couple” who behind closed doors are anything but perfect. The scripted drama is said to explores lies, cheating and corruption in the White House. The series will star Ed Quinn, Kron Moore, Paige Hurd and Daniel Croix Henderson.
