Dave Chappelle to make Broadway debut in July

Mathieu BittonDave Chappelle is taking over Broadway.

The Grammy and Emmy-winner announced Wednesday he will perform five shows from July 9-13 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in New York City.

Registration for the Ticketmaster Verified Fan presale began today at 1 p.m. and closes Sunday at 10 p.m. ET. The presale begins Tuesday, June 18 at 1 p.m. ET. Tickets for the general public go on sale Friday, June 21 at 10 a.m. ET.

Chappelle is currently on tour, performing shows Thursday through Sunday at the Tabernacle in Atlanta.

Last month it was announced that the comedian will be presented with the 2019 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor
